International Conference #YouthMediaLife 2021

The four-day conference organised by the interdisciplinary research platform #YouthMediaLife at the University of Vienna will bring together scholars from a range of disciplines to discuss topics concerning young people's media lifeworlds: their relationships, their learning, and their identity formations in the context of their media practices.

The online conference enables participants to present papers, watch pre-recorded presentations, discuss each other’s work and ideas and connect with one another over a cup of coffee.

The research platform has put together a programme of over 100 papers, panels and pre-recorded presentations. Susanne Baumgartner (Amsterdam University, The Netherlands), Rodney Jones (University of Reading, UK), Axel Krommer (University Erlangen-Nürnberg, Germany) and Dafna Lemish (Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, USA), the wonderful line up of keynote speakers, have all agreed to deliver their contributions online and participate in discussions.
