You can find the general services that the SSS Anglistik offers as well as further information here

Please make sure to send requests and documents via your u:net email address only. Otherwise, the emails cannot be processed due to data protection reasons.

Former students sending emails from private email accounts need to attach a scan/photo of an official identity document.

How to turn in documents at the SSS Anglistik office?

  • Completing your study program:
    • Make sure you have collected all of the listed documents indicated on our homepage
    • Send the documents from your u:account (university email address) to our email address.
    • Once we have looked through your documents, we will contact you to inform you about the status of your application.
    • Your documents will be sent further to the SSC, the responsible unit for issuing your degree certificate.

  • Recognitions:
    • Make sure you have collected all of the listed documents on our homepage.
    • Send us the email with your documents from your u:account (university email address) to recognition.anglistik@univie.ac.at - this serves as an identification of your identity.
    • If you have received a permission from the SPL to have a class recognized, please forward this email to us as well.
    • Once we have looked through your documents, we will get back to you to inform you about the status of your application.
    • The recognition process is completed by issuing a certificate of recognition (Anerkennungsbescheid)*. Currently, all certificates are issued with an online signature (Amtssignatur) and are sent via email to your u:net email address. At the point of sending the document, you have 4 weeks to check the information and get back to the SSS office, in case some of the information on the document (course title, ECTS points, etc.) is incorrect and has to be changed. After the 4 weeks are up, the document will become legally binding (rechtskräftig). If you need the grades immediately, you can write us a follow-up email that you revoke your right to appeal against the document you have received and the grades can be entered immediately.

*Recognitions done through an AVO (Anerkennungsverordnung) are completed without issuing a certificate of recognition. Students receive an email as soon as the grades are entered into the transcript of records.
