We are looking for a Studienassistent*in to assist with new student onboarding measures at BA, BEd and MA level.  In this role, you will collaborate with lecturers and tutors responsible for our STEOP and MA introductory lectures in WS 2024/25. 

Job description:

• Liaising with staff responsible for the eight lectures
• Liaising with Peer Mentors and STV
• Analysing Moodle platforms for clarity and accessibility
• Creating online information resources for Moodle, Anglistik Instagram etc.
• Researching good-practice models for first-semester onboarding
• All in the interest of helping first semester students find orientation at university and become part of the English Department.

Requirements:

• Currently enrolled as a student at the Department of English and American Studies
• Successful completion of first year of BA/BEd or first semester of MA
• Interest in understanding needs of first-year students
• Interest in content creation, online resources and innovative ideas for communicating factual information and social integration
• Readiness to participate in CTL introductory workshop for student assistants (1/2 day)
• Experience in organisational communication is a bonus.

   Contract: 1 October 2024 - 31 March 2025, 10 hours/week (EUR 649,80/month - Gehaltsgruppe C)
