We are looking for tutors for the language lab for American English. As a tutor, you will provide feedback to your peers, help them to understand the course material, and prepare for their final exam.

 Job description:

·         Holding weekly tutorial sessions (2 sessions, 90 minutes each)

·         Responding to student emails

·         Taking part in lecturer-tutor meetings

·         Invigilating exams

 Requirements:

·         Currently enrolled as a student at the Dept. of English and American Studies

·         A good grade (“Sehr gut” or “Gut”) in PPOCS 1 (American English)

·         A strong performance on the PPOCS 1 theory test

·         A sharp ear for detecting pronunciation challenges

·         Analytical skills to provide actionable suggestions for improvement

·         Ability to explain phonological concepts to other students

·         Interest in phonetics and phonology
